Thirty-five percent of Bradford’s population is an ethnic minority.

Welcome to The 35, a two-day programme – developed by Impact Hub Bradford – to nurture and strengthen not-for-private-profit organisations in our city which are driven by purpose and led by ethnic minority communities.

A cohort of up to twelve people will be selected for a two-day programme of coaching, training and network development. Identifying and addressing specific challenges; exploring legal, financial and governance skills as well as building and sustaining partnerships.

Community organisations have long faced challenges around funding, governance and exclusion from decision making. Working with our partners CABAD and the Leeds Community Foundation, The 35 will assist minority-led organisations build capability, capacity and resilience, ensuring they’re at the forefront of the district’s recovery from COVID-19.

By the end of The 35, we intend to position each organisation to be ready for funding and ready to scale up sustainability.

What will you gain from the programme?

We intend that each participant will leave the programme with:

  • Clarity on what funders are looking for from organisations.
  • Clarity on the choices they have in terms of governance structure for their organisations.
  • A clearer vision of what they want to achieve and an action plan to deliver on that vision.
  • A strengthened network and awareness of who may be able to support their growth.
